Funeral Tributes And Condolences

Important information to help you understand what to expect when ordering funeral flowers, including size guidelines, delivery responsibility, and how we ensure each tribute is created with care.

Funeral Flowers – Terms & Conditions

Asteria Florals, Runcorn, Cheshire

1. Ordering & Lead Times

  • To ensure we can source your preferred flowers and create a thoughtful tribute, we kindly ask that funeral flower orders be placed at least 2–3 days in advance.

  • Same-day or next-day orders may be available depending on stock and our existing schedule – please contact us directly to check availability.

2. Delivery & Collection

  • We offer delivery to local funeral directors, homes, places of worship, crematoriums, and cemeteries across Runcorn, Widnes, and surrounding areas.

  • You may also choose to collect your arrangement from our home-based studio by prior arrangement.

  • When placing your order, please ensure all details are correct, including:

    • Delivery address

    • Date and time of the funeral

    • Name of the deceased and/or funeral director

  • We cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information.

3. Design & Flower Availability

  • Each tribute is handcrafted with care. While we always aim to use the flowers shown or requested, seasonal and supplier availability may occasionally require substitutions.

  • Substitutions will be made with blooms of similar style, colour, and equal or greater value, always preserving the overall look and feel of the chosen design.

  • If a tribute includes personalised elements such as ribbon messages, please provide the exact wording at the time of ordering.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made with 48 hours’ notice or more before the scheduled delivery or collection date will be refunded in full.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a partial refund, based on work completed or flowers already purchased.

  • Due to the perishable and bespoke nature of funeral flowers, refunds cannot be given once a tribute has been made and delivered, unless the arrangement is found to be faulty or not as agreed.

5. Customer Responsibility

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to:

    • Provide all necessary and correct details at the time of ordering

    • Check that the delivery location will be open/accessible at the specified time

    • Notify us of any special requests, including card messages or ribbon wording

  • We are unable to offer compensation for issues arising from missing or incorrect information.

6. Limitations of Liability

  • We take pride in providing a caring and professional service. However, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, including:

    • Traffic delays, road closures, weather disruptions

    • Access restrictions at the delivery location

    • Last-minute changes made by third parties (e.g. funeral directors)

  • If a delivery cannot be completed due to such issues, we will contact you promptly to agree on the next best solution.

7.  Tribute Sizes & Acceptable Variations

All of our funeral tributes are handcrafted using natural materials, which means each piece is unique. We take great care to meet the requested design and size, but due to the organic shape of flowers and the floral foam base, some variation in final measurements is to be expected.

For this reason, we allow for a standard size variation of up to 10% on all tribute dimensions. For example:

  • A 4ft (120cm) coffin spray may measure between 108cm and 132cm (approx. 42.5–52 inches).

  • A 3ft (90cm) spray may measure between 81cm and 99cm (approx. 31.8–39 inches).

This leeway is widely accepted within professional floristry and helps ensure a natural, flowing design using the best available flowers.

If a precise size is essential (e.g. for full casket coverage), please advise us at the time of ordering and we’ll work closely with you to meet that requirement as accurately as possible.

8. 🚚 Delivery & Post-Delivery Responsibility

Once your funeral flowers have been delivered to the agreed location—such as a funeral director, place of worship, crematorium, or family home—and received by a representative on-site, our responsibility for the tribute ends.

We take great care to ensure that:

  • All arrangements are completed to a high standard

  • Items are clearly labelled or marked where necessary

  • The delivery is made to the correct person or address at the agreed time

Please note:

  • We cannot accept liability for how tributes are handled, moved, stored, or positioned after delivery.

  • If flowers are passed on to a funeral director, venue, or third party, they are then responsible for their care and correct placement during the service.

  • If any specific instructions are required (e.g. placement requests, positioning near a particular item), please let us know in advance so we can relay these clearly at delivery.

We recommend discussing any special requirements with your funeral director in advance, as they coordinate final arrangements at the service.
