🌸 International Women’s Day – Celebrating the Women in Our Community 🌸

Every year on International Women’s Day, people around the world take a moment to recognise the strength, achievements, and impact of women everywhere.

For me, as the person behind Asteria Florals here in Runcorn, it feels like a beautiful opportunity to pause and reflect on just how many incredible women are part of our everyday lives.

Women who show up for their families.

Women building businesses.

Women working tirelessly in their careers.

Women supporting friends through difficult times.

Women lifting each other up in quiet, meaningful ways.

Sometimes the most inspiring women are not the ones making headlines — they’re the ones quietly doing amazing things in our communities every single day.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is “Give to Gain.”

It’s a reminder that when we support, celebrate and uplift one another, everyone benefits.

That spirit of connection is something I see constantly through flowers. Bouquets are often given as a way of saying thank you, I appreciate you, or simply I see everything you do.

Whether she’s a mum, sister, colleague, friend, neighbour, or someone running a business in our town, every voice tells a story about the impact women have on our lives.

Our local community here in Runcorn, Widnes, Frodsham and the surrounding Cheshire area is full of inspiring women, and I’m excited to spend the next couple of days reading those stories.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply say:

You matter. I appreciate you. And you deserve to be celebrated.

Just like flowers, the women in our lives bring colour, strength and beauty to the world around us — and that is always worth celebrating.

Because when we take the time to recognise and appreciate them, we create a little more kindness, connection and beauty in the world.
